The VFX Coordinator oversees the communication between the client, the supervisors and the artists and the VFX producers to ensure the efficient running of the project.
The main tasks of the VFX coordinator are:
• Assist to the bidding work with the VFX Producer and Visual Effects Supervisor
• Collect project details and technical information, formats, LUT’s before starting the project according to the production pipeline of the show
• Manage and check incoming material from lab, editing, track missing material and manage outgoing material with I/O.
• Ensure all departments have the right material and briefing on time
• Scheduling, prioritizing and planning artists' work with the Head of 2D in
accordance to the client’s post-production planning
• Day to day follow up of the artists' workload and update of the planning
• Ensure Shotgrid statuses and tasks assignments, timelogs, delivery targets are kept up to date.
• Organize and lead dailies and client reviews
• Take accurate notes during the reviews in Shotgrid and dispatch them to the
artists, in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor
• Collect feedback from clients, referring to the VFX Producer and VFX supervisors and dispatch them through Shotgun to the artists
• Report on the good progress of the project to the VFX Producer on a regular base • Ensure that planning, workflow and delivery deadlines are respected
• Ensure the work is done according to the bids and report overruns to the VFX Producer
• Organize creation of showreel material (breakdowns)
