Digital Matte Painter

Place : Belgium (on site in our studio, remote work is possible from Belgium).
UFX Studios is a Belgian studio specialized in the production of international film projects Its activities include production, co production, financing and visual effects (the studio is ideally located in the popular Louise Châtelain district of Brussels).
We are looking for a Digital Matte Painter for our office in Brussels.

Your tasks & responsibilities
- You create photo realistic matte paintings to replace or combine with live action footage
- You contribute to the realization of future film projects by creating visual effects
- You meet deadlines while retaining a high quality of work
- You have familiarity with pipeline issues
- You propose artistic and technical solutions for the project and have good problem-solving skills
- You work as a team member and communication with a supervisor of a sequence
Skills required
- Previous experience in a VFX “realistic” environment (films/series)
- Great deal of realism, as your work is intended to be featured in VFX for live action projects
- Extensive knowledge of matte painting techniques including color space, digital paint and photo realistic collage techniques
- To be skilled in photography with an accent on compositing, depth, live interaction and color
- Working knowledge of Nuke and Photoshop
- Knowledge of Maya is helpful
- Ability to manage priorities and bring multiple within a deadline
- Be patient and able to concentrate for long period and pay attention to detail
- You have excellent communication skills and you are a good team member
- You are rigorous and detail-focused
- You are eager to learn and develop professionally
- You are fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is an asset)
- You live in Belgium or abroad but you are ready to work on our Belgian payroll
