I’m currently working as a stagehand at LIO LONDON, supporting my manager in the setting up of show stages and managing the smooth running of the shows. My duties here include:

• Preparing, maintaining, ordering and fixing the work area of performers, including arranging furniture, props and other items needed for the performance.
• Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of all performers and audience members pre, during and after the  performance, including taking care of the stage floor to ensure no accidents occur while performers are on stage.
• Moving props, scenery, and equipment to and from storage areas and rehearsal spaces during set changes. 
• Standing by during the performances to act promptly in case of emergency such as equipment failure, safety of performers and people attending the show.
• Installing and removing stage rigging systems, including lighting and sound equipment, speakers, special effects devices, and other equipment as required. 
• Marking up the set, building props, operating club lighting equipment, and other tasks as directed by the production & stage manager.
